Kids at PT

I know it has been a while since we attended PT but I am finally posting the kid’s memories and opinions of that special time. They are still talking about it. This week they were mentioning friends made there two whole months ago that we may not see again for a very long time, or ever. I can’t write about that though or I’ll start crying at the thought. Here are a few of photos of the kids and their favorite memories of Prefield Training.

When asked what her favorite part of PT was Leah said, “Everything!” With that sweeping statement out of the way we dug deeper. Her favorite part was going to the Mall of America, building Lego towers, walking through the American Girl store and playing I Spy mall style.

Isaac again said, “Everything!” After a minute of thought he talked about how cool it was to go to Feed My Starving Children and pack food up for children who wouldn’t otherwise have any. He has wanted to go do that for over a year and he finally got his chance. He was a little disappointed that they didn’t quite meet their goal of boxes packed, they wanted to do 18 but only finished 17. Based on this experience I’d say he’ll be back there again as often as allowed.

Micah’s favorite part was coloring me stacks of pictures and “just persons”. I have to agree, the people in our group were wonderful! I asked him to tell me one cool thing about PT. He said he enjoyed going to Midtown Global Market and drinking bubble tea. Yes, our kids eat many different things, Isaac ate a camel burger that night.

We know they learned a lot from their time with the adults in certain family friendly activities and from their time focusing on big topics at their level. We see it in the way they discuss spiritual matters talked about there. What a joy it is to see our kids grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word!
