We spend a lot of time in the car. That used to be true because we lived so far from school. Now most days I drive under 5 miles a day for school stuff, but we sure are traveling a lot to share about what God is doing in Berlin. God is moving and we cannot wait to be a part of what He is doing in Berlin!
Just over a week ago our family packed up and drove to Waupaca, Wisconsin for a day with future teammates, the Hesse family. We are excited at the ways God has answered the prayers of many by calling more people to serve on the Berlin city team! Both of our families are hoping to be on the ground in Berlin this summer. Sunday we all spent the morning worshiping and sharing about our call to Berlin with Faith Community Church. It was a very encouraging day sharing. God opened many doors for conversations, it was a blessing to us to hear from people who want to partner with the efforts there by praying for us, taking trips to see how God is working in the city, and hearing about how some feel God is moving in their hearts to serve Him overseas. If you would like to see one of the interviews we participated in check out the video at the bottom of this post!
Last Monday Denny had the opportunity to drive to Willmar, MN to share with local pastors there about Berlin. Through that meeting we were invited back to be a part of their missions summit this past Saturday. It was a great day to sit and hear teaching on National and Local Partnerships, how to develop and grow your missions team, and other topics. We made several good connections with people. I find it so amazing how God makes connections. These last two weeks I have met several people and discovered just how many connections we have.
God is opening doors all over the mid-west (and beyond) to share about what He is leading us to do. Pray with us as we continue to meet with people and churches. Pray that God will provide the remaining funds for us to go, we are ready to take this next step! Our pre-field-trainings are finished, our house is packed and as soon as He provides we’ll go!
